Bidisha Barooah

Bidisha is a senior evaluation specialist at 3ie. She leads 3ie’s Agricultural Insurance Program and Livelihoods project under which a multi-state evaluation of the National Rural Livelihoods mission, a program targeted at poor rural women, is being conducted. She also leads 3ie’s upcoming women’s economic empowerment program. She works on evidence gap maps and synthesis. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics.
