Dr. Jörn Grävingholt

Dr. Jörn Grävingholt is senior researcher and project manager in the research programme “Transformations of Political (Dis) Order” at the German Development Institute (DIE) in Bonn. He coordinates the thematic clusters on fragility and conflict. His research focuses on fragile statehood, peacebuilding, causes of migration, migration policy, governance and democracy as well as the development dynamics of non-democratic regimes. Before joining DIE, he carried out research on political developments in Russia from 1992 to 2002. Since 2008 he has been a member of the advisory board for Civilian Crisis Prevention and Peacebuilding of the Federal Government.
